Everything You Need to Know to Conquer Vogue Fashion’s Night Out
Style addicts all around the world have been celebrating fashion these past few weeks. Trunk shows and sales push old trends out while Fashion Week runways introduce what’s new. And celebrations like Vogue Fashion’s Night Out toast to it all.
Vogue Fashion’s Night Out, or FNO, was originally launched in the City That Never Sleeps in 2009 to encourage sales and support of the fashion industry. Since then, events have sprung up across the globe. Last month, Tokyo hosted another successful Fashion’s Night Out event. Osaka will host its first ever FNO event next month, on November 19th and 20th. If you plan on attending, here is what you need to know to conquer the festivities and get the inside scoop.
Check Out the Participating Brands
Hundreds of brands participate in Vogue Fashion’s Night Out. Many of which offer exclusive sales or limited items for the event. Do some research on the official event site and plan which shops you will visit first. Some items sell out early!
Walk the Red Carpet
The Tokyo event always has a red carpet where attendees can feel like superstars. Even if you don’t attend the Tokyo event, expect a lot of camera flashes. Wear your favorite clothes and ham it up for the paparazzi!
Try New Products
Sponsors often have booths introducing their new products, many of which you can try for free or get free samples. Some companies will even have industry experts demonstrate the product. Make sure to look at the schedule and keep an eye out for these events.
Spend a Little
More of a window shopper? Well, consider spending a little. Vogue Fashion’s Night Out originally began to help boost sales in the industry after the economic crisis. Now, some FNO events sell limited edition items to benefit various charities.
As the name suggests, Vogue Fashion’s Night Out is about the fashion! FNO hosts special runway shows with well-known brands to present the upcoming trends. Make sure to arrive to the runway venue early to get a good view.
